We are an accredited provider of professional development for the Ministry of Education and we run technology workshops for teachers who want to learn STEAM and design.

Learn programming, electronics and the 2020 digital technology curriculum for schools with our accredited facilitators.

The technology skills learnt are able to be taken back to the classroom with practical projects the kids can learn from at school.

Our workshops are single or multi day, and can be run along side our kids enviro-tech camps so teachers and students can learn the technology curriculum together.

WHAT WE DO

PLD AT YOUR KURA OR SCHOOL

Digital technology is critical to every aspect of life, now and into the future - be it robots, artificial intelligence, flying cars, augmented reality, 3D printing and so much more….

To recognise this the Government has made it part of the New Zealand Curriculum in all schools. Which means you are now the key to ensuring all children learn digital technology!

We have fully accredited facilitators ready to take your staff on their unique digital technologies journey. It is fully funded by the Ministry of Education.

LEARN ON CAMP

Come join us at the camp for an offsite staff retreat. We can run PLD workshops alongside your school camps. Thousands of kaiako nationwide have helped us to refine our workshops into a thought provoking succinct introduction to the digital technologies curriculum.

Our one-of-a-kind enviro-tech camps are connected to the Learning areas in the NZC but take these to places you never could have imagined with hands-on workshops that will set your students imaginations on fire.

Every camp involves pre-camp classwork to be done in the term leading up to the camp.  We provide fun activities to get your students ready for camp and some basic activities based on the camp adventure you choose.

And the fun doesn't stop there! Post-camp, we will give you a unit of work to take the learning back and explore in your school.

What is a Secret Project?

While on camp, students work on “Secret Projects” that solve a problem in the world. It could be monitoring the waterways for pollutants, tracking pests in the bush, measuring CO2 in the air or growing organic food to feed everyone.

The projects are varied and change throughout the year and are connected with the theme you choose and the things that the young people care about. The projects are STEAM based and generally cover science, coding, design and engineering with hard and soft materials.
